Here is what I did on Friday the 16th of November during my 18ºC lunch-break Smile PLEASE Check all 3 pictures
1
-You look merry, mate..
well there are FREE drinks at the old mirabelle tree

2 -good to have 6 legs to stand on

3- should have taken more water with it Smile

the morning frost makes the mirabelles drop on a container.. but it also makes them ferment TongueTongue Plum dropping weather Smile so the local hornets came all in for a drink!!

___________
many thanks to you all who commented and voted on the icicles and their shadow
And 3 cheers to Walter for the UA

Nice storyline here, Annette, and if that's fermented juices they're getting then it might explain the apparent collapse of the left hand wasp in V 3.
Great macro work and the detail is excellent.
A most enjoyable set.

Excellent set Annette - even without the 'conversation ' you provided. The surface on which it all took place gives it a studio produced feel. Excellent photos - especially V2 for me. Thanx again for your kind award to me yesterday Smile

The container makes an excellent background. Lovely colour and clarity but I'm not surprised you're shooting at 200mm. I want some of that ethanol flash as well TongueGrinGrin

Quite happy with the three thank you Annette, I have a couple of shots of a European Hornet that paid us a visit!, He was nearly 4 cm long with red and yellow stripes, people fuss about them but generally they are less of a problem than wasps who are a nuisance!, never kill one as when dying they give off a hormone this will alert the rest of the nest to attack! worth remembering lol. three good shots, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Nasty little blighter's if you get stung, but very docile to handle if you know what you're doing, much prefer a hornet than a wasp to work with, wasps are unpredictable, hornet's give you plenty of warning......Good images Annette.

A tremendous set of macros Annette, I found v3 most amusing. The hornet in that one is doing a very good impression of the Big O after his day spent in the ciderhouses of Gloucester on Friday!Wink
