.... and the Light is You.
Today, or rather yesterday, I had the good fortune of spending the whole day with Scott Kelby giving a live seminar in Islington (London ). The man is fantastic, in what he does, how he communicates, his sense of humour..... do I need to go on.
So, having come home, I just had to try out everything, and clearly need to practise for months to come. I was particularly impressed with his 7 point system for Camera Raw and just could not resist the temptation to take my shitiest shots and turn them into something, over the top maybe but, a tad more interesting than they were, in camera raw only. Easy, no-nonsense and quick. No doubt many of you know about this system, but to me, it was a revelation. The whole day was one of wow and wow and wow.
Just to be clear, this image has not been touched in photoshop itself, apart from adding the borders and the lettering.

Hi Steve, thanks for you comment. Kelby's 7 point system for camera raw basically consists of the following: 1. applying a camera profile in camera raw; 2. Adjusting the white balance; 3. Exposure (exposure, blacks, brightness and fill light); 4. Contrast (in curves point); 5. Clarity and vibrance; 6. Dodging and burning with the adjustment brush); 7. Finishing touches (vignetting/neutral density gradients/B&W/sharpening). Save as jpeg from raw without going into photoshop.
If you want to know any more, just pm me.
