The sense of movement is wonderful - this is not an easy capture either. We have this happen in the Cairngorms, too - the big buzzards are seen off by the smaller crow species. They never argue, just lazily fly away....

I'm amazed you managed to capture this at all!! Looks like a Buzzard being mobbed by a Rook. I've seen it myself in our valley, I think the Buzzards enjoy the exercise! The details you have caught are brilliant! I've tried shooting Buzzards in the thermals and they are usually silhouettes.

I think the silhouette really emphasizes the action Libby. Crows mob the buzzards here too.

yes I agree with KarenFB you did well to catch the action at all - shame about the sky but we get what we can when we can - I have yet to sort my skies out to, have a few pics I could show but until I find the time to correct the sky I will save them for another day

Not the sharpest of captures, but the scene is interesting and it's very different. The movement can be seen in the blur, and with a different sky it could have gone from good to great!

This is excellent Libby and catches the action really well with the blurry wings. Love the desparate attack of the crow and the buzzard nonchalantly keeping it's distance
