This little robin was on the ground near a tree today. He looked concerned because he couldn't find his mom. I got a couple of shots and to my surprise, he could fly and flew up into a fence then over to his tree.
V2 is his great escape.

Three commentors mentioned the ant on foot. I wonder if it was a mere tickle or an actual nip? Healthy young robin like this one would recover from an ant nip quickly, no doubt. Leg and foot detail is very strong. TG
