Taken today at Blair Atholl Horse Trials.
Not my usual kind of thing but we need some sport images
for next session at CC.
So this was new for me to try taking action shots!
The caption comes from Nursery Rhyme
Horsey, Horsey don't you stop
Many thanks for votes for Pollock House Maze
and constructive comments.

Captured just as the fore hooves hit the deck, tail in the air: very nicely timed, Kate.

Well captured, Kate. Timing is good, as Ronnie points out, with the hooves and tail (love that tail Grin). It looks like you took the image from a standing position. A lower view point would place the horse against the hillside away from the clutter of spectators and gives a more dynamic feel to the image.

Action and exposure spot on Kate, if this is going in a competition all depends on the Judge of course, they might say the horse is too central in the frame! Myself I like it.

Trev.

I love this action shot. There are a lots of ways to get impact into a composition
and I think impact is the most important one for me. Original - Technically Correct - Impact
are the three which are used in art. You have used this here in the action of the tail in the air.
A magic capture. Well done Kate. WesternRed.

An excellent attempt at a sports action shot, they are not easy but you've done well here. I remember taking shots of people doing watersports in West Wales a couple of summers ago and my images were not as good as this
