Very interesting, was just listening to Jamiroquai and this image comes up - Well taken.
Thanks Rob, Rob, Will, Gary, Donna, Jeff, Mick, Laura, Peter, Jules and Carl. Great to get such a fast and positive response. 
Will, it's a combination of slow shutter speed and a zoom lens. As you take the picture, you zoom and light trails are the result. This was also given a little twist by moving the camera during exposure, to stop the lines being completely straight. The figure is David (deviant) standing in front of an O2 mobile phone shop window, full of christmas-tree-type lights (mostly blue ones).
