A break from the birds for this evening's upload. A Six-spot burnet Zygaena filipendulae, taken last summer at Aston Rowant.

A tad late in uploading this evening. One of the external HD's, went tits up as soon as I fired the 'puter up.Sad
Fortunately it was the power supply (possibly a burnt out circuit board), so a quick trip to PC world and purchased an ex HD caddy.
Arrived home and realised they had given me EDI and not Satta - back to PC World and found out they hadn't any Satta in stock.
Fortunately Maplins is only next door and they duly had one. All up and running againSmile

A bit of a hit and run time this evening I'm afraid - other things to sort out, which I would have already completed, if it hadn't been for that damn HDWink

Sorry to hear of your problems this evening......at least you knew what to do about it......I wouldn't have had a clue.
After that brief digression, this is a superb macro shot of this moth, the detail recorded quite excellent, and standing out against the paler b/g so well.
Ronnie.

Details and colours are so sharply defined. Another superb image.

Totally dread my external HD dying off! Wouldn't have the foggiest what to do.

A well, I spent a good bit of the afternoon at the vets, pleasant enough, but I did not get anything done otherwise--- The kitty is doing well,
and your moth is beautiful!
