52 for 2014 Week 41

topsyrmThis week I thought I wasn't going to get a shot at all I haven't been able to get out of the office at all for picture taking, however, on the way to work on Friday I saw the light on this Church in Tavistock and was able to stop for a minute to take this shot. As always, comments welcome.

52 for 2013 Week 30

topsyrmOn my way to work I often drive through Tavistock, on Friday the light was catching the church nicely enough for me to stop and take a shot. As always comments welcome.

Dave_Henderson....... when I woke to the alarm at 0245 and when peering out of the window was greeted with a decent sky. Got dressed, had a coffee, filled the flask, then off to Newbiggin. Chased a few rabbits off the cycle track on the way. On arrival out came the compact to take this shot for Ken. ...

Breda

conradI used to go to the historic Dutch city of Breda often, but things have changed and I seldom have to go there anymore. Recently a work assignment brought me to the area, though, and when I went into the city centre to find a bite to eat, I was struck again by the beauty of this church. I only ha...

Goldfinger

conradBefore driving back to the ferry in Harwich, I knew there was going to be time left. So I thought about photo locations to visit along the route. I considered the possibility of ditching the sandwich idea and getting a decent meal en route. And in the end I hoped I would be able to combine the two. ...

So Much Nicer

conradI love colour, I really do. But I'm also crazy about mono infrared shots. And ever since I bought an old G2 converted for infrared, I've become convinced that IR makes what would have been a simple shot so much nicer. Take the photo below, for instance. Take a little after noon, which I normally ...

A Whole New World

conradNow that I'm armed with an iPhone full of photography apps, and of course with quite a good integrated camera, I find that I take a lot more photos with my iPhone than with a regular camera. Of course, many of those photos wouldn't be taken at all by me if I didn't always have my phone with me, ...

cattyalThe sun was shining this morning so I thought I'd go into town and then hopped on a bus to Tewkesbury. I had only planned on staying out a couple or so hours but it was so nice out that I spent 6 hours out instead :) Tewkesbury is a nice spot to potter - there's the Abbey, the river, a few good an...

Day 97: Rotherham Minster

discreetphoton Rotherham Minster Today I decided to have a look inside Rotherham Minster. Iíve been in once before, but Iíve only seen it by candlelight. I hadnít initially planned to shoot an interior today, so I hadnít packed a tripod. That being the case, this is a single image (no HDR for this shot)....

Pixel_AlchemistOver on Google+ different members have created theme days which can be helpful for ones 365 project one such theme is Sacred Sunday Generally speaking I'm not one to make statements, I normally capture the beauty I see about me. I allow my Photographs,to speak for themselves, I feel this one speak...

Off The Beaten Track

conradI wonder if we all do it. We look at a photo in a book, a magazine, or on here, and think: I wish I'd taken that. Or: I could take that. Or: I could take that better! Or maybe a location in a photo is such a classic, that we feel we should replicate it. I know I've done that in the past. And I su...
