conradJust paraphrasing Dutch football star Johan Cruijff here, he once said "Every advantage has a disadvantage" - but I suspect that, like a mathematical equation, you can turn that around as well. For several years now, I've had to work my [...censored...] off after having been bled compl...

Arty Windmill

conradA few days ago, I took this iPhone image of a Dutch windmill in passing. Except for a relatively interesting sky it didn't have much going for it, so I started playing around with it in different apps. After taking it through about three apps, this was the result:

Action Shot

conradI don't usually post photos in this blog that weren't taken by myself, but in this case I'll make an exception. Because it was taken by an interpreter colleague of mine, with my iPhone, and of me - in action. Since I don't have a lot of shots of myself in action in a conference interpreter's booth, ...

No Photo Blog

conradYesterday on my way back from a location in the southwestern part of the Netherlands, I had been hoping to take some photos of locations that I don't often get to see. But of course the sky went grey soon after I got in the car, and eventually it started to rain, at some point quite heavily. And ...

(Not) An Old Dutch Master

conradI was taking a drive with Ashley and decided to make a slight detour to look at one of my favourite windmills. The sky looked pretty good, there was good light (which was about to disappear behind big grey clouds), so it seemed like a good moment to take out the iPhone and see what it could make of ...

Interpreters' Booth

conradPart of my working life is spent sitting at a computer, typing. And another part is spent talking into a microphone - in an interpreters' booth (or if circumstances are less ideal, sitting or standing among members of an audience). I recently realised that I didn't have any pictures of myself wor...
