Douglas Kirkland shares hips tips on shooting editorial assignments.

No doubt Mr Kirkland a very profficient photographer and some interesting shots shown in the tutorial, however, in this very brief video with only a few seconds devoted to the technicalities of taking the images. Yes we breifly heard about the window and lighting, colour, and one position of the subject.
A longer video with information on what other lighting was used, Flash, Appature, Shutter speed, etc. etc. etc.
Please if you are to supply these tutorials, make them useful. We all love seeing what these pro-guys produce, at least tell us how the images are produced in more detail.

I agree with Tony, it could have been longer and included more material, but this tutorial is not about 'how to take photos' it's about how to capture the subject in their environment.
The tut actually did include some tech detail in a background image. The most important thing Douglas talked about was to connect with the subject. Always the most difficult thing to do, but always the aspect of a shoot that guarantees a fantastic final photo.
Hope this helps some of youz!
Steve.
