Coombe Country Park

Coombe Country Park is located on the outskirts of Coventry, a large(ish) city in the geographic centre of the United Kingdom. Am estate which is circa 1000 years old the site hosts a luxury hotel, as well as a visitor centre in its 500 acre grounds.

An important site for wildlife the site also has a large colony of Grey Herons breeding annually in the "Heronry", this being overlooked by a birdwatching hide.

Many mature trees are to be found in the grounds, much of which is designated as a SSSi.

A great many events take place on the site, including, but not exclusively, guided nature walks and such.
