Rapa Nui is the most remote inhabited place on earth with the nearest island over 2000Km away.

The island is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and belongs to Chile. There are only two flights a week from Santiago so most visitor stay for a week. Rapa Nui is the most magical place i've been to, the people are frendly and the Moai and landscape make you feel humble to be there.

Rapa Nui (Easter Island) Images

Moai (the heads and torso's) are stood on a Ahu (altar)
These Moai where restored by the Japanese government and are the largest group
All the Moai were caved at one site and transported around the island
After the cult of the Moai came the bird men one of which would swim to this island and bring back an egg
Most Moai face in land
Every evening we would go and watch the sunset
