An iconic landmark in the Cornish landscape St Michaels Mount is a castle / priory set atop an island in Mounts Bay, Penzance with a causeway providing a leading line into the island.
A fantastic location for sunset and sunrise, best location for sunset is on the beach to the left, accessed near the Top Tieb landing point in Marazion and for sunrise directly in front of the mount itself or anywhere to the right at Marazion, Long Rock, Penzance Harbour or Mousehole for different views.
The castle on the Island is often illuminated and with spectacular Cornish sunsets provides a great setting for long exposure low light photography.
To top it all there is the Godolphin Arms pub straight opposite that serves great food and drink.
