The Cullmann 3430 tripod features the same leg 'chassis' as the 3230 but is a more versatile tripod in that it features a removable centre column which doubles as a monopod for those occasions when you do not want to have to carry a tripod with you but still need a camera or telescope support. The monopod / centre column is a heavy-duty monopod manufactured with the same internal locking system as the 2741 magic monopod.
