A set of extension tubes with Pentax K male and female adaptors. This low cost alternative to normal PK tubes uses three screw thread tubes in between a male and female PK mount and means that you have four different extensions to create a variety of magnifications.
Use the front and rear sections without the tubes gives you a short extension. Add one tube to get a slightly longer extension, two for medium extension or three for full extension. You can use the three inner tubes in any combination to get a number of magnifications.
The tubes are fully manual so you need to experiment to get the correct exposure. When used on the latest digital Pentax lenses without aperture rings you can only work at the smallest aperture as the tube doesn't open the lens up. A way around this is to use a block to keep the lens aperture pin open, but it's better to use the tubes with a lens that has an aperture ring.
The example photos below show how close the tubes can get you with the standard zoom of a Pentax SLR.
The extension tube set will work with any film or digital SLR with a Pentax K bayonet.

The photo left is the closest you can go with the Pentax 18-55mm zoom. The shot on the right is with the set of three tubes added.
