Trying to simplyfy things: if at all possible use a quality tripod with a strong head. Always use cable release set camera to mirror up or mirror delay mode if it has it. A lot will depend on the lens but most are at the optimum at F5.6 to F8. If you do landscapes learn about hyperfocal distance but very crudely focus 1/3 way into the scene. OK. Open the program, click on folder view button. Down the left hand side should be a windows navigator like window, just navigate up and down to the folder where your RAW images are. Open that folder and it should draw lots of thumbnail images on the right. Thanks guys i think i am there!!! got rid of the EXIF data and opened my different exposures open in cs2... finally!!! Must say my first attempts are absolutely *****!!! Not as easy as it looks on the olde tutorial pages. Definitely thinking this is something that'll take a little bit of practice... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
