I know, even Nikon and Sigma put the markings on their lens. It's canon that seems to be leaving them off on some of their lens. I think its because of the zoom factor that the aperture changes throughout the zoom makes the markings seem redundant.

Try a piece of corrugated cardboard covered with black bin bag plastic or painted with matt black powder paint - unless you have large windows!

LOL - you'd spend all the shoot time fiddeling with your flappy mirrors. Actually impressed even if i can't see what to use it for I can see a few wifes/girlfriends loosing there compact mirrors :)

Heaven forbid the owners sell them on ebay for decent money and you miss out at the charity shop Paul Not at all, dealers walk into charity shop and strip the shelves, they don`t want or need the stuff, its simply sold on for profit and people here wonder why they can`t find bargains.

You could also try making youre own lightbox, very simple..... Get a smallish piece of white transluscent perspex (say 400mmX400mm) and place a lamp underneath. This was how I did one of my more recent images shooting colour transparency film on a lightbox.

Studio lighting for digital photography
I think the lights they provide are interfit? As to the difference I would not know, just looking at buying myself. I would guess you get more control than the floodlights and that the floodlights may be a little harsh, but I guess if you rigged them up to a dimmer switch you may get some control etc.. The other thing could be temperature, not the light temp but the heat given off? ...

I looked at these kits and made a few enquiries at Maplins. There is one part advertised in their catalogue that is not even in stock yet in the country,heigho.One point I must bring to mind is Hviz use breadboards,rather an expensive way to assemble the circuit. I have used strip board and also made a PCB.let me know how you cope with this project.
