That is a great article and I have to agree with him. In 1992 Plume Wafer gave me every model of there softboxes to try out and use. A week later I showed them images I shot with their softboxes and images shot with nylon panels. They loved the nylon panel images and said..."its obvious that these are the Plumes". Nikon Creative lighting System
Just a thought, and I might be wrong, but if you assign Flash Lock to your AEL/AFL button, can you not then press the AEL/AFL button to trigger the pre-flash and, in which case, it will no longer fire any more pre-flashes while your camera remains switched on? ~ squodge ~

correct lighting for fashion show?
Yes I will be using my 18-70 lense and the only photographer friend I know, is very involved with the show, but great idea, I may ask her if I could borrow her camera - also Nikon and use my 70-210 with it. thank you everyone is being so helpfull.
