Why I have to leave Olympus
USE FILM again !! My boy was GIVEN an Olympus OM2n with 50mm f1.8 and 70-150mm Zuiko lenses and gets very good results -- no 'SOFTWARE' problems at all -- I develop his B&W and most of his C41 or take it to a High Street Pharmacy which has an account with SIGFOTO laboratory who do an excellent job of processing and printing C41.

Amazon - Help me Lord!!!!!
If you buy from Amazon (not a merchant) and the price drops within a few days, I complain and they always offer to credit the difference I'm in full agreement with pro-Amazon users and the quote above is just one more example of the great level of customer service offered by them. I remember when my son's i-pod went faulty. It had a week's worth of warranty left so Amazon referred me to ...

Camera Wars
Don't you just hate it when people have a better camera than you To be honest, No! I've never been one for worrying about equipment, I buy the best that I can afford, and then learn to use it properly. If lens x has 1% better resolution than lens y so what? I am not doing laboratory tests on lens quality with the thing bolted down, I'm taking hand held pics with the inevitable camer...

New m43 bodies & lenses
Ah but Paul, the Olympus camera offers in-camera IS that works well those lovely manual lenses etc, while the Panasonic offers the EVF and in the past the better focusing. EVF or IS, I would like a viewfinder, but I also like IS, how can I decide which is best... Got to admit, I love inbody IS John and the new Pens even include a built in flash so they now have wireless capabilities as well,...

Older lenses on digital bodies
I bought one of the books Paul linked to for Pentax, and I found it was helpful, in that it had a section on the use of old lenses.

The Mirrorless Shootout
Sanity check: has anybody done something like this, or thinking along similar lines? CB even sold his 5D2 and went for M43. Indeed, I made the change. I will leave others to comment about the sanity aspect! :D Currently have the Olympus Pen E-PL2 but that will probably be disposed of, when my next M4/3 camera arrives............. the Olympus OM-D EM-5. Would you get the Oly 12-50...
