Problems mounting large photo prints
Rather than tape all the way along the top edge. I find a couple of T-Hinges made from archival tape work fine.

When in Kefalonia earlier this year our waiter was an extremely nice young Albanian lad who was fluent in Albanian, Greek & English (although he insisted his english was not good!). When we asked his name we were told by him "My name is Soni, actually it is a pseudonym for Sonimib...(the actual name I cannot remember!).That means it is my short or other name!" An Albanian in Greece telling us...

Framing a photo
I use the same method with mounted prints and it does the job as you describe Peter. However, in my experience, without a mount to keep the print flat (ie: when I frame without glass there is no mount) the print needs bonding to the backboard to keep it firmly in place. Likewise with an "invisible" mount inside the frame recess.

Full frame or 1/6 cropped sensor
Lol obviously i would love it :D and maybe one day if i ever get lucky to see a second hand one at around the 2500 mark :). Probably dreaming a lot though.

Back in the film days the average consumer hadn't been bitten by the photography bug as we have been today. When Nikon releases that camera on the market, I'll wager there will be unprecedented demand for it from non-professionals, and Epz members.;)

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC review
Looking at the wide open image. Yes it is soft. However there is a lot of detail in it and I would expect it to respond nicely to a bit of extra sharpening. If this is what this lens can produce at 1.4 I for one would buy it. The only reason I haven't is I can't decide whether to go full frame or remain with the crop format so crop only lens purchases are on hold. cheers Al.

By jove - I think I've got it! Thanks for all the ideas - I've settled for a 3 pixel 'stroke' round the edge and then cropping outwards from there to obtain the borders. And I love it - just hope that I don't get carried away but I do think they 'finish' the picture nicely..... Thanks again Noel

Just to let everyone know i have bought a brand new 24-105 f4. I hope it works ok. If you found the 24-70 unsatisfactory, James, I'm betting you'll find the 24-105 even less pleasing! ;) We look forward to having your feedback.................

LOL - you'd spend all the shoot time fiddeling with your flappy mirrors. Actually impressed even if i can't see what to use it for.

Renault and Ford have joined forces to create the perfect small car for women. Combining the Renault 'Clio' and the Ford 'Taurus' they have designed the 'Clitaurus'. It is available in any colour you like so long as it is pink, and the average male car thief won't be able to find it - let alone turn it on - even if someone tells him where it is and gives him an instruction manual.
