Book Reviews
This is a portfolio book showing the work of Nature photographer, Workshop instructor and Lecturer. It's a smaller 8.5in square format with one photo per spread and an extended caption for each image. The repro is good and the captions informative. The photography is generally outstanding and very inspirational apart from the occasional 'creative' shot that doesn't look right in this book. Well worth a look

Well, what a coincidence with this thread, mine arrived this evening and it's just a tiny wee one, just a single stem. So tomorrow afternoon I might get the camera out.

Shooting Flowers
John Shaw's 'Close Ups in Nature' is one of the best books I've read on Macro photography. He shoots a lot of flowers and the book is a goldmine of information whether you do Macro or not. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0817440526/qid=1127945024/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_16_1/202-9337218-2728659

A little laughter
Renault and Ford have joined forces to create the perfect small car for women. Combining the Renault 'Clio' and the Ford 'Taurus' they have designed the 'Clitaurus'. It is available in any colour you like so long as it is pink, and the average male car thief won't be able to find it - let alone turn it on - even if someone tells him where it is and gives him an instruction manual. Brightly coloured trees, crisp cold mornings and the crunch of leaves underfoot are all signs of autumn creeping in and if you're a landscape photographer there's no better time to be outdoors capturing all of what nature has to offer. Here Tony Howell and Nick Jenkins tell ePHOTOzine why autumn is such a great season and they also offer a few autumnal photography tips along the way.
