Darkroom Memories
Glad it's all over with. The hideous smell that wouldn't leave your nostrils for days, the inconvenience of constantly setting it all up, the hideous dust marks all over the place, I could go on. Thank heavens for modernity! Onwards and upwards.

Soft/grainy images with D300
Well I'm sure the techy people on here know how the camera works and can give hundreds of reasons for grain/softness, but mine was from experience of the camera itself and like Samour my D300 suddenly started to give results that were grainy and softer than they had been. Maybe like all other goods these days it's a built in obsolescence.

I struggle to understand what you say sometimes SM I know English is plainly not your first language once again wrong but the only consistent thing in your statements is a lack of objectivity. you are consistent in being wrong. sadly TC you are not understanding what is being written, not just by me but by many individuals. I suggest you re-read the AP reviews to find out the bits you ...

Laptop recommendations
19" is the smallest monitor you can get now, there will be no reason to change it unless the resolution is really a bother. ( Im going to guess its a 19" 4:3 1280x1024 ) Getting it done privately will always be better than the bigger brands, but I can only really support that train of thought with machines built by myself or by one of my colleagues in store. - There are obviously people who...

How to start your own photgraphy business
What's it like then... It's exciting, it's frustrating, it opens you up to all the your weaknesses, it proves to you that you can be fantastic from time to time, it keeps you awake at night, it doesn't seem to generate much cash, you're constantly getting you out of your comfort zone, you find yourself reviewing printers, delivering photos and seeing customers faces when they see them for the f...

Should I upgrade to a D7000?
I 'chopped in' my D300 for a D7000 in October. Absolute stunner! Better spec etc, etc, No need to change lenses. (unlike my wife who went the 'C***n' route! Silly girl) I have had no mechanical probs with the lens lock and not bothered with the Update for the video. I use a 'Proper' VC.
