Photographing cars
Use a polariser. It'll give you the option to eliminate / minimize distracting reflections on the body. Wide angle stuff is, as stated earlier, quite cool to do but I personally like shots taken with a longer lens, 'flattening' the car. Can look a bit weird from some angles, but from the front and back they can can look pretty good. Pictures of reflections in any chrome work can look nice...

Anybody know what those big and rather sinister-looking Russian limos were? The ZIL. There was also the Chaika, which is much smaller, but the black car which the KGB always whisked victims away in in the films. Another big Russian car was the Volga. I learnt to drive in one on the snowy roads of a Moscow winter... a big heavy car that was as keen to skate sideways in the deep snow as forwa...
