Aperture in Landscape Photography?
Or use a 10 x 8, f64 and the zone system. Worked for Ansel Adams! But how many times larger is 254mm X 203mm than a cropped sensor - not really realistic help for someone trying to get to grips with landscape photography. And the zone system, we all use it even if we dont realise it - its what the multi pattern metering is based on - but thats another subject nothing to do with the thread. ...

Landscape photography from a roadside
Also, just realised that other road is the one between Buxton and Leek, not Uttoxeter. :) That road can be fantastic - I drove down there last year in the spring with low light and crisp weather. Unfortunately I had to make an appointment and did not have my camera but I really should get back there.

You could try approaching some of the agencies which specialise in landscape pohotography and are prepared to accept B/W, e.g. Arcangel Images, Arcblue, Loop Images and NHPA.
