PSP v Elements
PSPv8.10 works fine for me in XP and is quite stable. The patch from v8 to v8.10 is essential to stable operation though.

Is it a secret?
[quote) Conversely though, when I see that an amazing picture has been taken with 'entry-level' kit, I am lifted immediately because I might just one day be able to come close to that particular result. It will make you feel better if you look up the famous picture by Bert Hardy, of two Blackpool Showgirls sitting on the railings on Blackpool seafront, they are laughing together as the wind...

photo editing
Hi Cheryl, Al those things will work on Jpegs. However, if you want to change the format quickly, easily and for free, 'FastStone' has a tool that will batch convert Jegs to most things and will also resize and insert a watermark if you want it to. All with one click. The tool's a little bit hidden but well worth looking for. If you get stuck give me a shout on here. I don't suppose you can PM...

Elements 7 beginners help
There are a ton of tutorials to be found on the net, as has been said, but when I started out with PSE (v4) I found a book by Mark Galer very useful, as it talked you through a series of projects and came complete with DVD with video tuts and and sample images. Let's have a heated debate
Its one of the debates I have been participating in for years on various sites and with various photographers and guess what, I don't care either way any longer. I at one time would get very hot under the collar if someone took at swipe at my photography and said "but its not real photography", and on other sites some people would criticize my art for having to much photography in it. Decided t...

Alamy Photo Submission Help
Yep, the JPEG when opened in Photoshop is the size that you need to watch - anything below 48MB will be rejected by Alamy. As long as you save a tiff as a maximum quality JPEG (which is setting '12' on the PS slider), it will reopen at the same size as the tiff. You can upsize the image either in Capture One Pro or PS - Alamy will accept either. In Photoshop you need to use the 'Bicubic S...
