Pentax K-x ISO

The iso is set to iso 200 for a reason. Base iso has a lower dynamic range than 200. ISO 200 hundred is the optimum minimum iso on your kx.

If it's anything like the K-r, don't hestate. I almost got the K-x but found I could afford the k-r. K-x is certinly one of the best reviewed cameras of the last year or so.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. In the end I went for two sets of Eneloop third generation AA's. And charger wise I had the Technoline BL-700 (UK model). The third gen Eneloops are 1900mAh and charge for 1800 times, holding at least 75% of charge for up to 5 years ....sooooo all the blurb suggests. The Technoline 700 was as far as my budget would run, so I think it should be fine. ...

I don't know what causes the bleeding. I lived in Spain for several years and originally thought that the heat may have caused it, but a good proportion of the 9000's that I have seen have got the blight. Something that moves that slowly consistently (I would guess something like 1mm in 10 years :D) must have an application in research somewhere! When Konica Minolta stopped making/selling film...

Thanks for those wise words. I am aware that people will have their favourite camera/s and all advice is taken into consideration. As I said before, my Nikon D5000 takes stunning pics especially when fitted with the Nikkor 16-85. It is though not the easiest of cameras to navigate round the menu and most settings do not have short cuts. However, both the lens and body weigh a considerable a...

Got going back in early sixties,my dad and uncle would spend hours in their darkroom (AKA mums bathroom) hand tinting negatives I loved watching the print emerging in the dishes. Dad took me to a Russian trade show at earls court and I ended up with a russian twin lens reflex, cant remember the make wish i still had it might be worth a bob or two. You said in your OP that you wish to shoot landscapes. Pentax are brilliant for that kind of use, as they are the most waterproof cameras out there (to my knowledge). I've been out in rain and snow with mine, and never had any problems, even when my friends pack up and hides their cameras from the elements. I would also invest in a sturdy tripod, as that's a "must have" for landscapes.

....but the principle remains the same... "While anyone contemplating buying a camera and not already "tied in" to a particular brand may be interested in the opinions of other users, I think we do have to caution against placing too much significance on those opinions. The fact of the matter is that most of the products by most of the major manufacturers are now so good that there is ver...
