I have the 50 1.8 it's a great lens. I though I'd lost it recently cos my camera bag felt empty it's that light. Let me know if you want an experimental image, say a subject at closest focus distance with a given background item to show amount of blur

I did put 100s in the bin .. then started to give them to my local college.. I know its a pain taking them .. but if you can get a student to pick them up ever few months....:D I don't buy many mags nowdays "only when I have one of my pics in" :P...

Hi Back again Just found this on how to get the SX130IS to shoot raw http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK Did a little reading (ONLY a LITTLE) and found it is the SDHC card that is programmed while in a card reader But early days yet Have to delve much more deeply Cheers for Years Colin

Process versus Technique
To get the pics to the level/look they need, it's a proper skill from what I can gather - stuff the agent was chatting about was mind boggling really, it'd probably not be cost effective to get me to do it as it'd take forever ;-) Don't get me wrong, I edit all the portrait/landscape/wedding stuff I do - but big projects... you're just a small cog in a wheel really. ww I'd rather be chat...

I never really liked the geotechnics part of my degree I must admit... piles and all that jazz. I guess for most people, a photography course would be about "fun" or gaining "inspiration" - a boost to their hobby, so there's no real "need" to go on courses they don't like. I guess a better question than the inital one would be... For what purpose would you go on a photography cours...
