Any here got Capture One Express v7?
Now you've had a lie down, Ade. Are you looking at your videos in Library Mode as you should, not Develop Mode which might try? Yes it will allow you to move the files around, but it won't allow you to actually play the video clip within LR so as to preview it and decide whether or not you wish to keep it, not unless you download QT. I'm not asking LR to develop or even manipulate/edit the ...

Free Serif panorama stitching software
I have Serif Photoplus X5 on my machine and it works well although raw conversion isn't up there with the likes of photoshop in my opinion and I use other software for that. It has a lot more to offer than Photoshop Elements in my opinion and it includes full curves functions, superb b& w conversion and a lot more for not a lot of money. Ken

Lightroom 4 at 33% discount
As for sharpening, I think that I will do it all in CS2 as I do now because I always apply it selectively. You can apply it selectively using an adjustment brush in LR.

is it the same
The crucial thing about producing a mono image is being able to adjust the colour channels independently in post-exposure processing. To do that you need to shoot in colour. It's the digital equivalent of using colour filters in front of the lens when shooting with black and white film.

Elements or Lightroom?
Just imported latest shoot into both Elements and LR. The latter converts to DNG is that the same as RAW?? Or did I miss an option when downloading?

Adobe going subscription only.
Lets be honest folks--There is No problem really, is there ? I stopped cataloging my files in Lightroom a long time ago..Why you may ask, because I don't need a catalog system. All my Folders are dated and named. Every JPG I have used for Comps or Internationals are in the Folders for those comps etc. so I know how to find them and not duplicate them. Same with my Tiffs & Raw.. After I have ...

Lightroom idiot needs help.
Hi Gaucho, I think you are going to have to learn the hard way as most of us have done. Your best bet is to go through Julieanne Kost's videos to get a decent grounding. If you just dive in blindly you're bound to come a cropper. Thanks for the link superb, even explains how I can export to LR from DXO, about quarter way through; still baffled why it didn't come up via google. Thanks a...

Lightroom 4, Export to Internet Question
An 8-bit and 24-bit image are the same thing in RGB (i.e. 8-bit x 3 RGB channels), which I presume is what you're getting at Aaron? The strange thing is that your black and white web images ARE in 8-bit grayscale, so I presume you've converted them outside of Lightroom? If you want to convert to grayscale in Photoshop for output to the internet, 'Gray Gamma 2.2' may be a better choice. The o...
