ePHOTOzine's Tracey Johnson spends a weekend in Spain's capital city

In recent years the concept of preserving energy has been the subject of much debate and concern. From this fervent debating a number of devices and conceptions have been devised as a means of conserving our energy resources. One of these innovative creations has been wind-turbines which convert wind energy into electricity. Sounds like a perfect solution, but when you consider the sheer size and unusual appearance of the turbines against the natural landscape it quickly becomes a matter for debate.

the "spot" colouring technique is sometimes looked down upon with scorn by professional photographers as being out of date; today's photographic fashions and vogues are often past it by tomorrow's standards .... IMO all techniques past, present and yet to come have merit in their place.

Stopping popup flash
Lovey thanks for you input. Rambler. Yes I can disable the flash (Q), but it is needed to trigger the off camera flash. Cameracat....that was all very useful information, thanks a lot. It might be View NX2 that made the difference as I have also just put that on again, but I will look at it in a different light now. Interestingly, some piece of software just reinstalled (Elements 11, I think, or possibly View NX) is now sending me a regular message telling me my monitor is not correctly calibrated for colour.
