If I can use it anyone can. Also it was the first such software I had tried, apart from Moviemaker.

LeftForum, I was not attempting to give a scientific explantion of Dynamic Range Film v Digital but a good source is: Dr Roger Clark I am well aware that the human eye/brain exceeds the dynamic range of cameras. Typically, a scene looking towards full sun will be 17-18 stops dynamic range and typically human eye/brain (with pupil dilation) will be about 17 stops. It most likely evolved this...

As Dcash said the ephotozine directory of clubs is very useful. I'm 4 weeks into my local club and realise i've just learnt loads (despite spending the last 3 years reading Mags and lurking and chirping in epZ), Ive met some really nice people too. Yes i try and go early and hang around to help clear up, its easier to get to know people that way and share ideas.

People get emotional and twisted knickers over dpi and ppi :D I am very simple so keeping things simple I just view images in pixel dimensions i.e. length and breadth for example an image produced by a digital camera may be typically 4800px x 3600px; a program like Pro Show Gold will import images of the size but will take time depending on the speed of your computer; therefore I will reduce...

Then I would suggest you all draft your issues in a clear and concise way and email them to the commitee members, as I have just done with the camera club I was attending, have now left for a club more friendly and hands on the cameras and members evenings that can be about anything you want, photographically. I have had a response from them saying that they will discuss my issues at the ne...

Does anyone know how to import DNGs into Lightroom 3? I already exported some images out of Lightroom 2 as DNGs on my old computer. Now I am trying to import them into Lightroom 3 on my new computer but they don't show up when I go to import and select the folder that they are in.

Does RASTERIZED means it needs flatening and if so do I open it up and then do shift+ctrl+E to do it? Keith I thought it meant it was taken by a black guy with dreadlocks! ;)

Interesting job advert from Adobe. Is this for enhanced features in LR 4 perhaps ? The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom team at Adobe Systems is looking for a superior software engineer to help grow our quality-focused team. You must enjoy working with the members of the development team as much as you do working with product managers, user research teams, and customers to discover how to delight ...

When I come back to UK the first thing I do is go into Smiths and buy one of everything photographic on the shelf... and I keep them all. OK, so there is only so much fresh stuff a mag can put out each month. And sometimes, to be honest, a lot of the articles are verging on crappy. But I never fail to find a gem.. a bit of info that had escaped me. A technique that wasn't in ePz's techniques (...

Click on 'file' top left. 'File settings' 'Format' & drop down box Then JPEG. ann There is no such option in the file menu drop down If you mean File>Export>File Settings this sets the file format for exporting (which I and Mike Otley had already pointed out; Mike had also added that after exporting you can set the options [in the post processing tab] so that the files are t...
