Its classes as malicious, and hence, quite rightly detetected. However it can't dial down broadband.

I hope not - mine come up with it yesterday (auto scan kicked in or I wouldn't have known).
I found a box that had 'never dial-up' somewhere that was not ticked , it is now!

Unless you have left a modem plugged in as well as broadband, it wouldn't ever get out anyway.

Yes, Norton 360 picked it up on mine about a week ago, too. Then I had to get rid of it manually though I suspected it couldn't do anything on a broadband connection.
Anyway, in the past I've always used Norton alongside a wonderful free security program called A-Squared but had failed to install it on my new computer. But this prompted me to download it again; it's ace at catching lots of nasties some of which Norton misses. Run it once a week to clear all sorts of nasties. I think the paid for version catches them as they try to download. Here's the link if you are interested...
