Would'nt touch this lot with a barge pole again. They have broken three delivery dates, fail to answer emails and when you eventually get throught o a customer 'care' (what a joke) representative they are as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. My advice STAY WELL CLEAR.

Buying from Pixmania has been and still is painful for me as well.
Ordered and paid for a camera package on Sunday 14th August. Now Sunday 9th october about 58 days later and I am atill without my camera package.
Ist attempt ended with the package being lost/damaged with DHL at Heathrow.
2nd attempt (after reminders and investigations) did arrive on Tuesday 6th September. Wait for it! My camera package was NOT a camera but a computor mouse.
Again after many reminders this 'Mismatch of order' was picked up by Parcel Force.
The returned package took some time to reach and be processed by Pixmania.
On 27th September I received an email confirming return of the 'Mismatch 0f order' package.
All my further attempts to now get Pixmania to send MY camera package has met with frustrating and even infuriating results.
The lastest email suggests that DHL has delivered a package and that I should ask other members of my family if they have it. Even, they suggest I ask my neighbours.
Pixmania have lost all control of this particular order
My latest email to them this evening says that I will send them a DAILY email until they sort this out.
Do hope I have given you something to smile about.
Lastly I did write to BBC Watchdog but my problem was not taken up, they cannot do them all.

Just bought a Canon Powershot A520 from them. Of course the camera turned up with no instructions in English. Turns out that Pixmania are a French outfit with no idea about customer service and will not supply a camera with English instructions, even though they are selling them to the UK. My advice, DO NOT BUY FROM PIXMANIA, they really are a waste of space.

So you didn't read the spec sheet properly, then?

It clearly states "Manual provided in French
Downloadable manual (1 download available in a language of your choice after purchase ): Chinese, Czech, Spanish, French, Italian, English"

Consider yourself lucky, you got the camera! Others dealing with them didn't even get that!

In reply to Chris above. No I obviously didn't read the spec sheet properly. BUT. This company, Pixmania, advertise in the UK, have a UK phone number, address and even a retail outlet in London. I (and I guess the majority of people) would of thought that I was dealing with a company in the UK and the instructions would be in English. Why would I therefore search through their website to see what language the instructions would be in? This is my case for POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - if they are selling products in the UK to people in the UK they should be in English. These days too many people put up with crap customer service like this - We don't have to. DO NOT BUY FROM PIXMANIA.

"This is my case for POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE "

Agree 100%. However, before buying anything on the internet, I make a point of finding out as much as I can about the company, look for feedback , opinions etc, it can save a lot of grief. All companies will have one or two disgruntled customers, but a quick search here, or other net sites, would have revealed that the likes of Pixmania, Nomatica etc have legions of dissatisfied customers. It's people like yourself that buy from them, seduced by the cheap prices, without first checking them out, that keep them in business.

Yup another annoyed and poorly serviced customer of Pixmania. Have e-mailed and phoned them several times and been pleasant with them every time. Got nothing but lies and false hopes im running at 1 month late only.Only thing one can be is persistant. Thank goodness it is a moderately priced camera it could be worse.

I haven't seen these review before, I ordered home cinema from them 5 days before. They promised the goods would be arrived no more than 3 days. But I received an email from them to inform me that it will be delayed 2-3 days. Today, I received another email that I was told the goods will be delayed 5 days, they told me don't phone to them in the email, what a bad company it is! I am so worried about my goods after I saw these review.

The followings are the two emails sent by them.

Pixmania.......do not use

Ok the reason Pixmania are having problems, well the present ones with delivery are that they are moving warehouse. They just got up one day, infact 2 minutes after i placed my order and decided to move!

What i find increadible is that moving a company this size is a major operation, planned well in advance, yet nobody from pixmania thought there would be dalays to customers! I was quoted the usual 24hours delivery.....order placed 10/10/05.........camera arived 20/10/05.....but cant use it as CF card is missing, in fact thanks to there impressive order tracking system, i can see that it is still sat in their warehouse along with the carry bag i also ordered.

Contacting them is not easy.

Their customer service line waiting music isnt up to much, the song doesnt change even after an hour!

Or you could leave a message on their contacts section....... i have left loads! Hopefully they will reply soon.....?????

The best one is the refund policy..... if you cancel.....because they have lied to you and cant deliver the goods within the time they specify. You still have to wait for the goods to arrive and then refuse delivery.....they then go back....are processed......then accounts are notified.....they do some processing......then the banks do some processing.....

I was informed by a pixmania employee to expect one month on refunds.....but then they told me 24hours delivery on goods and i am still waiting....

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Oh too late .... I read this forum.

I've bought thousands of products online over the past 10 years and this has been my very worst experience. I guess if you are lucky and everthing works their prices are worth it. It is when it doesn't you get to realise how good or bad the company really is.

Ordered an A3 photo printer (in stock) standard 3 day delivery. Despite being in stock nothing was delivered for three weeks, no notification of delay. All I got eventually was an email about 'warehouse' mix up.

When delivered it was French stock & cable - and no English manual. The French looks fiendishly complicated so I'm not going to risk a blind install.

After wasting several quid listening to their 08700 muzak I emailed from their site. They replied two days later asking for more info - but any reply to that breaks their email system and I get pages of gobblygook. I guess 'customer care' get nothing.

First & last time for Pixmania. I shall be returning to ebuyer.com - I think that says it all if you know ebuyer.com. Yes they and the others screw up at times but eventually with patience and care you can get it sorted.

This crew are in a different league! Oh well lets hope I can find what I need on the Epson site. I think a RIP would be preferable to an RMA on this one.

AVOID ... AVOID ... AVOID

I wish I had read this 3 weeks ago! I ordered a projector with a ceiling mount. Ok. I knew things would be slow and p with the wrong leads etc. even though they said 2-3days on the phone, and claim UK fittings on the web site FAQs. But delivery took 2 weeks and they failed to send me the mount, then when it does come it doesn't even fit - dispite being sold as a package. I will have to drill the mount myself. E-mails are either ignored, or just produce a computer response. Phone calls average 20minutes at national rate, and get you nowhere.
You might try writing to James Felix 43-47 Avenue de la grand , Armee 75016 Paris. But I doubt it will help.

With ref to manuals not being in English - if a product is connected to the mains it is subject to the EU Low Voltage Directive and the CE Marking Directive. Where this is so, user manuals must be in one of the EU official languages (English, French or German) plus the language of the Member State in which it is being sold (where that is different). It would appear that in some cases, Pixmania could be commiting a criminal offence.

PIXMANIA.

This company is best avoided. I oredered three items but during the ordering process my computer 'froze'. Thinking that the order had not been placed I foolishly repeated the order.

I did receive an email confirmation of this order but not for the first order.

I then found out that I could track the order and noticed that Pixmania were processing two orders. I attempted to cancel but could only cancel one item. After that I could not get back into the cancel order page and was told that the (ie one) order had been cancled. I am now receiving the items I ordered from both orders - piecemeal.

Can I contact Pixmania to get it sorted out? Can I hell!!

If anyone has Pixmanian's geographical 'phone number can you please let me have it? I will not use their 0870 (or whatever) number as this is premium rate!

NEVER, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Read this thread , unfortunately it seems they don't have one!
As an aside, the "say no to 0870" website is a site I have used sucessfully many times. It does not have every number, but has the majority of the major companies. It will save you paying their inflated call charges. http://www.saynoto0870.com/
