i was there for 4 weeks and swore i'd sample at least one fried creepy-crawly by the time i left, but i bottled out in the end. they're meant to be very tasty, though.

Ah, I wonder if your friend has sampled any of these delights, Pablo? Cambodia is an amazing place. I bet he's loving it out there.

Hi graham. believe it or not, it is possible to find very good food in cambodia ... you just have to look very hard!

mavis, they eat all kind of creepy crawlies in south east asia, like maggots, and grasshoppers. they enjoy them as a snack (like crisps or peanuts or something) not because they can't afford anything better.
