About Illusio
I am a 44 year old aspiring web designer, mother to 2 year old Orla, happily married ex party goer, rock chick and general nere do well. I formally trained in design at Amersham College of Art (Foundation and Diploma) and the University of East London (BA, dropped out prior to my final year, either that or stab my year head to death).Sadly, the last 20 years or so have not been exactly prolific (Art college will do that to do, kill the creativity right out of you). What was once a reasonable talent has dwindled significantly. However, discovering a love of web design about three/four years ago, an ambition to do it professionaly, coupled with the birth of my daughter have re-ignited the creative urge.
However, I am afraid that what work I publish here will be slow in coming. I have a small child to care for, a husband, a career to pursue and studying etc. Also, I have found that I am struggling to undertake subjects and mediums that I once found easy and which came naturally to me. Sadly, a lot of technique has been lost. Still, I will persevere and we shall see what comes of it...
Also, I have re-discovered a love of photography recently (well, last year). However, things have moved on considerably since I did photography at University and when I had my old Pentax SLR. My husband bought me a Fuji Finepix E900 for Chrismas (early in the summer haha), my motherinlaw bought me some lenses and filters, and using my well thumbed copy of Scott Kelby's 'The Digital Photographer', I have been practicing hard ever since...
So, I hope you enjoy my endeavours thus far....Don't forget to comment

Lorrie
