This young lady was in the wild and we were fortunate to see her being 'ringed'
a very gentle procedure, and took very little time to do from getting her from her box to flying again.

Thank You everyone for all your comments, always appreciated

V2, some of the ''gang''..and what lens they sported, all I used was a 100-400mm
sad with the Lek though, and after a very cold night in a hide, from 5.30pm to 10.00am next day
not a Capercallie to be seen!!! so still not seen one, but Ted saw one and photographed!
but did see the Black Grouse Lek.

Gosh, you get around, Lillian: and what an excellent shot to start with after your Swedish trip. And that shot at V 2 is showing off some pretty formidable lenses.
Good to see you backSmileSmile.

What a beautifully bright eyed little lady!

Funnily enough my scientist daughter was only just taking about tracking Capercallies in Scotland while at Aberdeen University and that they never actually set eyes on one either, despite the tracking!

Hey nice one Lillian, I thought the owls seemed quite as ease with the man handling.
We do look like we are about to invade a large country with our big guns.
Who cares about capercallies anyway, just a funny coloured turkey.

That's one good looking Owl.
I think I prefer V3 where we get an even closer look.
Did those big guns look at you strangely with your 100-400 mm lens?
Bet they're pleasantly surprised when they see your images!
