Some years ago Bob Jarvis the owner of our local photographic shop at the time (now a Jessops store) came to our camera club to give a talk for the evening. Bob was highly regarded by many who visited his shop due to his many years of photographic experience. Following viewing his excellent work taken over many years projected on the screen as slides - for the last 10 minutes of his talk he uploaded pictures of his family and friends and made a point of reminding everyone not to forget taking pictures like these because in later life these are the ones you will treasure. A super portrait of your elderly mother captured here, the lighting is spot on and the landscape format works a treat in this case and even retained the detail in the whites of the headdress. No hesitation placing my weekly award here.
