Not as many as you usually get, so I thought I would have a look. Very elegant, a captivating profile!

Sunlit Catkins..

Sunlit Catkins.. by nip'n'tuck

Really attractive shot with excellent subject separation. The early morning light has definitely 'made the shapes' for you. LIke it a lot.

Fiddien valley

Fiddien valley by KingArthur

A caotivating shot! For me, this has a surreal, almost 'toasted' feel to it which I find most compelling, somehow reassuring but somehow alien too. The lighting, I guess.

Beautiful composition and I especially like the condition of the 'old copper plate'. The framework is spot on.

You've given us a cracking good shot of a particularly colourful Hibiscus, mine look like wimps compared with this one. You should sell it!

Fiery patterns

Fiery patterns by oldgreyheron

This makes a nice, discrete presentation because the exposure was fairly short. If you used a 5-10" exposure you would get much longer, complete arcs, which can be overwhelming. There is camera shake here: when you move the camera with fireworks it does not blurr them (they are moving across the image field plenty fast enough,) it just offsets or twists the continuing track. You can see the kinks in some of your tracks.

I think I see Harry Potter running for his life across that small triangular field. Magic! Thanks for going up in the dread balloon so you could show us this.

Catkins...and Great Tit

Catkins...and Great Tit by phil_j

It is so refreshing and interesting to see birds alongside something for them to play with. This is a terrifically welcoming picture, you have a reporter's eye I'm sure, and the camera technique is just perfect.

Face of a clown

Face of a clown by Alanman

A perfect portrait of a squiffy clown! I notice the variety of textures you have captured in this frame, the shiny nose, the rich bow-tie, the flaxen hair etc. Nice work indeed.

Now this is truly magical (!) well made. It makes one of mine look rather boring.

Geranium

Geranium by Joline

A grand shot. I like the way that the strong lighting has given the flowerhead such a bold, independent appearance, an absence of commonly flat reds. I believe it is a true Pelargonium.

Attaboy! Great fun! Wonderful sequence, I'm guessing you used a tripod.

A wonderfully calming shot, you've captured the serenity - albeit loneliness - of these beautiful cut flowers.

Tulip shell.....

Tulip shell..... by KKmoments

Strikingly attractive yet provokes my curiousity. Is it embryos inside an amniotic sac (?), strange aliens inside a comfy biodome? Congrats on a very delicate capture.

You did very (!) well to catch this one, I suspect it's a hover fly. It's quite enchanting how the soft petals seem to wrap around it.

Perfect colouration, superb photograph! That's one thing I like about American sparrows, they're not colour blind.
