Instantly recognisable, The Grand Gallery at the National Museum of Scotland, we visited earlier in the year.

An amazingly interesting place, full of, as you say, unusual photo oppportunitites.

Cracking images, Brian, this particular species is Lucilia sericata, only know that as i did a college project some years ago on fly strike in sheep, and this species in responsable for it.
