This image has all the components of a well executed perfectly acceptable landscape, foreground interest (the oxen) mid frame interest, a good sky and distant blue on the mountains.
Might crop a little bit of the foreground but all in all a very competent image. Well shot.

I guess these are one twelfth scale models which for those that don't know are only about 7 inches long. I have a collection of over 30 and have shot these from every angle possible (usually in the winter) using flash and for a long time had no end of trouble getting the focus right. I would be so bold as to suggest you try and shoot them in natural light or set the flash off the camera behind and above with a diffuser. If you don't have a diffuser try two layers of tissue paper. You are most definately heading in the right direction just experiment.
