These guys were there again last night, not sure if they are breeding in the garden or just visiting the garden from somewhere close, we will have to see.
It has got me intrigued though as these are a rarity in the garden although we do have 3 acres of wooded back garden so I am hopeful they are breeding.

Just made a new feeding station as well so I am pleased that these guys like it as they feed from it.

As you can tell I am rather excited about these Beautiful birds being in my back garden, I would travel miles to try and get an image of this species and could never get a decent Image as there was always an issue with the positions of perches that they used.

I spent 2 hours being very quiet in the hide with only my bottle of red to keep me company Tongue, I think by the time i took this shot I had half the bottle GrinGrinGrin.

Well worth the wait for me.

They really are stunning birds Ian, you're lucky to have them in your garden and that they're feeding on your station. Top notch shot, really shows off the breast colour nicely!! This one deserves a UA from me!!

A superb capture, Ian.
Back in the 1970's my father and I used breed British finches to show.
These and Goldfinches were and still are my favourites.Smile

Funnily enough i do actually have the pair in the same frame, unfortunately though they are on my feeder so not such a good photo really but a good record shot.
