John and I had an afternoon out yesterday and we ended up at Saltburn for sunset. Raindrops on the car windscreen when we arrived didn't fill us with a great deal of optimism, nor did the sea mist that we could see descending over the cliffs, but after a glass of red wine and a chunk of crusty bread and delicious camembert, the rain stopped and the clouds parted to reveal some nice evening light .
My last shot of the day, after the sun had disappeared from view below the horizon, its afterglow illuminating the sky.

As always Thanks for Looking.

Great composition and colours, the afterglow can be more spectacular than the actual sunset!

Superb image in low light, capturing the beautiful pastels of the sky and sea, but retaining enough detail in the f.g shadowed areas to give good definition. Very attractive shot....well done.

A super composition Chant. Love the lead in with the texture of the flag stones and the hint of railing too it sets it apart from the norm and you captured all the atmosphere that we could feel there ourselves. A magical sunset and an excellent image. It deserves much more attention too.

Excellent top drawer.
