The old cast iron overflow pipe on Crosby beach. Posted a similar one a couple of weeks ago, but that one was taken using the BIG Stopper ... this one wasn't
Love the barnacle and mussel encrusted shapes of the wooden structure surrounding the pipe itself.
Right, back to work now ... let the tedium commence
Cheers for popping in,
Lovely shot. Beautiful colours
Really like this mate. I actually prefer it to the long exposure version. That sky is just too good to be blurred
Really like this - great POV
Nice colours paul
gets my vote
great shot, well capture. love the colours and lighting
Love the detail on the wooden structure. I can't decide if I have a preference between the blurred version or this one. I think maybe they are just too different to compare. The long exposure gives the image a completely different abstract feel by simplifying the clouds and water but I have to admit to really enjoying this natural looking sky.
Like the details in the wood work and the light and tones in this Paul.
Good work as always.
Super capture love the texture on the pipes.
Stunning shot i like the detail and colour in this shot.
Thanks all for dropping by and investing some of your time on this one. Sorry for the 'radio silence' but I've been a little busy with things this morn ... catch up later
Very nice indeed. Fine sky you got there.
Great POV here Paul, hope you managed to keep your balance
This is "STUNNING", and gets my award.
Also a big thanks for donating the EPZ camera strap which my son (Xander_H) won by coming 3rd place in last Saturday's Junior comp tittled "Three". He thinks it's smashing and he say's thanks too.
been back to compare the 2 and prefer this one, it has a lovely sky and detail on the fg is good.congrats on the user award.lesley
Not lost your touch then mate!
Quote: Not lost your touch then mate
Nope, couldn't lose it ... as I never had it
Quote: hope you managed to keep your balance
Yes ... just, mind you it would've been a fairly soft landing if not ... Fran was close by
Thanks all and a huge thanks to Adam for your UA. Tell Xander he's more than welcome and congrats too ... hope it comes in handy
just had another look and realised there is a pole sticking up on the left.... i might have been inclined to edit it out!! just a little thing... doesn't detract from a great shot though x x
Excellent composition Paul. Ron.
Cheers Lianne, I understand what you mean but I tend to leave these types of things in as they are part of the scene but can see why people would like them removed.
Ta too Ron. Cheers all.
after the station buildings i was too polite to mention the pole
LOL ... wise woman
