Diminished scales being played whilst I take photos
Like it Ade. Just watch the rim light (creaping in top LH corner) also like the new logo, tho it detracts where it is placed over his foot, still worth a click
t'was a misty day - that glow is the haze of mist
It is a bit hot on his shoulder too, but I like to think of it as a rock n roll spotlight. on the banks of the wharfe in Ilkley....
logo's just from an action I use to stamp all my stuff these days... it's a bit dumb
I don't mind it been hot on the shoulder - I dont even mind the speedlight been visable - if its used as a bold statement, but creaping in it looks like its been missed in post production.
Hot on shoulder ?
Effect works well and adds, no way is it over the top.
Logo, big and bold, suits your style
I quite liked it so left it in there - seemed a bit more "theatrical"
it's for his online guitarist profile - he collaborates with people all over the place, so wanted some cool shots for all those sites.
It was actually one of the easiest shoots to "pose" ever - I just told him to start playing, he did, then I set up the lights and got on with it

a bit like Smoke on the Water
Beautiful portrait and lighting!!....Kathy
Like the misty effect and Ade.
Actually I think everything works in this shot. Light, comp and the excellent pose. He looks lost in the music. A perfect album cover shot. Love it. Paul
I initially wasn't sure about the slightly washed out look but it adds to the softness of the mood and works with the subject.
cheers for the award Paul
main thing is that Chris likes it
