Been a week of alternative shots from the mcfade camp, so I thought I'd save this uber-dark shot for the finale.

It's basically a shot of them putting their blindfolds on ready for some more shots, but I thought that the fact that Holly, already blindfolded, putting a blindfold on Dan just looked like some religious ritual.

Guess you could read many things into it, I'll not expand and let you tell me what you see... and if you say "pretentious cr*p", then fair enough Smile

Off to shoot some seascapes this weekend.. playing it safe...

Tech details...

80-200 @ 200mm F2.8 Speedlite on ETTL
mono conversion mainly green so the trees lit up and we could see Dan

Camera:Canon EOS 5D
Lens:80-200 F2.8 L
Recording media:JPEG (digital)

Well I think you've created something great here, almost without knowing it. For me anyway, this is a classic masterpiece, I just love it! Well ok, I really like it (-:

Yup, like this one ... the applied digital noise feels a little too 'regular' but it does add to the shot, as you say, a high ISO would have helped. Like that hint of his eye Wink

Congrats on the HC too.

I like the shot, if I was being picky I would say the white spot on his arm is a distraction. Also a fraction of a second before and you would have kept his eyes in and gave the shot more impact.

Otherwise I agree with you, something about this makes me think pistols at dawm for some reason. I like it...

Sometimes with the higher ISO you get less actual image quality (banding etc) as opposed to just more grain, so I think you did the right thing in adding some 'drama' in CS2.

I too like the hint of Dan's eye showing, and it does look like a ritual. Good stuff mate, liked this series. Look forward to seascapes now!

Missed this...glad I found it thanks to the new HC gallery. The green channel conversion works very well here. I also like the fact that she's already blindfolded.
