Ferrybridge again. Ever ready... the battery? the fact that we always ahve electicity hand? or is it the cast the sun fave to the clouds?
Who knows - just seemd to fit the shot
I've a mono version of this that I far far prefer, but thought I'd feed the colour hunger of the EPZ tog with this lovely blue sky and red steam
Think it was about 3.2 seconds at F22, well definitely F22 judging by the crispness of the dust bunnies I had to iron out!
I guess you are expecting a battery of comments now, With the copper top looks more like a Duracell.
I must admit I have had the misfortune to pass this power station lots of times, and it never looked this good before. A great shot, send it to Eon, bet they could use it in their marketing!
I think this is a very dramatic shot
ha ha - I'll send them the mono version, it looks very ominous and cold - quite threatening in fact.
amazing what a bit of colour can do - or a lot in this case!
Also bombed past this power station on the A1 and never seen it looking so glam. You must have been in a traffic jam to get it!!!
Cracking shot, hope to see the B&W version soon. CLIX
Excellent capture, love those rich colours .................... click*
Oh, this isn't the mono version?
Excellent picture, great atmosphere and fantastic colours.
Absolutely bloomin marvellous shot!!! Love the colours
Very striking image - we have a similar monstrousity not too far from where I live. Maybe I should check it out!
My bleedin' eyes!!!!
You did well to find this, Ade...I think they moved it one night when they built the new A1.
Another cracker Ade am sure this will do well.
I put the mono version another site actually - not sure that I can give you a link though... not allowed any more. it's 1280 pixels wide so I can have it on my work PC tomorrow - a great way of advertising!
I've missed it twice Keith!
it's not the A1 any more, but if you come off at the Freeybridge sign on the A1 you can get to it.
I used to stop on a layby on the A1, but that was bollarded off... but you can get off a left turning just after the bollards - where the truss bridge is..... get to it from there
Another cracking image
Excellent industrial image
Great shot, almost flawless,if only the water had been like a millpond.
the river flow was really high actually - had so much rain up here recently - we'll send some down south for your hose pipes!
Nice photo Adrian
Better than last nights for me.
Cheers for the HC Pete
...reckon a mono version of this (to be posted) would be any more powerful?
I prefer this to the first shot. Greater feeling of drama to it. Well done on the deserved HC and RC.
A real eye-catcher, even in the thumbnail. Brilliant work.
Very nice, - and a pj shot too...
Another fabulous capture Ade. stood out in thumbnail and doesnt disappoint. Congratulations on the HC - well deserved.
cracking shot well done.
great image.. the colours are outstanding
Wonderful colour and is a nice shot of something that most people find mundane. Light eh...makes the difference.
love these colours...not so sure about the subject matter...but striking none the less
Completly wicked, although maybe the colours are a little too strong.
