This shot was taken on a big boulder just next to the fallen tree in the river, thought the boulder and tree made a decent frame for the water.

Was after a different view of the falls - we've all seen the full falls, they look great, but ya godda try a different view now and then.

What struck my about this wa that the colour in the water and a lot of the surroundings was so warm - lots of browns, ambers and yellows, then you see iciles all over the falls themselves.

A nice contrast.

Upped the contrast quite a bit after yesterday's allegedly "flat" HDR Smile

If you say this one's flat, I'd consider looking at buying a new monitor

Smile

Off to Cork today :-0

Taking just the 5D and 1 lens, not the rest of the kit as it's a Beamish weekender

A stunning image. There are so many elements to focus on, the water flow and all the textures and colours surrounding the stream.

You don't want to "fall" in here, with the temperature the way it is at the moment. Gorgeous colours and composition Ade, great work.
