Another alternative view of the gherking in london, though this is a little more trad than the last 2.

It's architecture, no one looks, so no point in elaborating Smile

I like the contrasty work up and the small aperture gives it good dof and the bonus burst off the gherkin. Could possibly only be improved by re-taking at sun up/down with a whacking big pair of tits at the front.

Like the surreal impression here and never realised there was what looks like a sculpture on the top of the gherkin. Not quite sure about the reflections as from the angle/position of the buildings on the right, shouldn't they be getting picked up in the glass?

Keep 'em coming and cos I for one like shots like this.

Agree about the tits, but would have preferred seeing them reflected in the glass.

I really, really like this Ade. The sunburst is sublime and I like the composition overall. In fact, the more I look, the more I like. That aerial exactly placed, the flower beds, the convergence and the way the left building has strong symmetrical shapes opposing the gherkin's diagonals. The contrast between old and new. The clouds, almost perfectly situated, both in the sky and reflected in the glass.

Were you sober??

Nice treatment, really crisp & contrasty. Like the glint on the gherkin. The windowcleaner's crane looks like someone jumping, though!

If you fancy another trip to London in a couple of weeks, we're having a meet on the 7th - the 'one camera, one lens' meet.

Mono architecture Ade, seems to be the vogue at the moment! An HC and a EC, congrats on both.
Another superb angle of an iconic building, seems the trip to the smoke has paid off?

Another really striking shot; the sunburst on the gherkin is wonderful, the building itself nicely balanced with the eyes also being drawn to the reflections in the l/h building.

Congrats on the HC Ade, my least favourite of the 3, but I mean that in the same way as the 10 year old being my least favourite Laphroaig. Wink

Still damn good.
