Lloyds fron the pavement just under one of the stair wells

All the outside is covered in the building's services, so here you can see the air conditioning ducts, stairs and all sorts of stuff.

Makes for a striking and controversial building - and one I enjoyed photographing the other week. What's better is that you turn around and there's a huge gherkin there

Love the low angle Ade and the building, but I'm not sure about the sky, it doesn't look right, too much extreme contrast for me (Cant believe "i've" just said that)

I like this one a lot Ade, great angle, conversion (as always) and a very dynamic image as a result. I particularly like the contrast between the polished stairway and unpolished piping.

A couple of minor niggles though. I do not think the crane top right corner is adding anything and is a small distraction. The second is the proximity of the lower exposed stairway to the left edge of frame is a little too close imho. Minor points on an otherwise excellent image and well deserved HC.

Strong composition & good perspective leading into the frame. Agree with Javam about the crane & tight crop & i think the white cloud on the left is a bit too bright, but only little niggles. Cracking shot.

This is very classy photography indeed Ade, has to be in t=your top 10 surely. As good as 5x4 at the very least. Greta mono tones and fine detail. Sharp all the way up the tower from the bottom, and grat powerful composition. Hearty congratulations.

Thanks everyone, nice to get another HC too Pete Smile

Putting mono architecture on the EPZ map....? Probably not!

The bottom left is a little closer to the edge than anticipated due to a last minute decision to "skew" the building to the left a bit. I dragged to top over to get the towers slightly more central. So tha's a fair comment and one I was aware of

The crane... well it's there in reality so I left in.

one thing to be aware of, if you replicate this shot, don't go on the cobbles - stay on the pavement. You're on Lloyds land when you hit the cobbles and get moved by security
