An shot of a huge postbox on Leeds's park row.
The photo lacked any real focus till I decided to desaturate all but the significant reds. It's an effect I like, especially as the traffic light was on red too.

Was a bit daunting putting the first one up there - but I'm no longer a virgin on the site!

Having studied it a bit - I like it a lot - BUT - something is wonky ??
Having studied it further - it's the post box - and why not - it's probably been there 80+- ???? years
very effective shot and manipulation
The red in stop light kind of rounds it off!

It actually is that wonkey - must have been hit by a late-running posty once! I think it's pretty old too - it's got "GR" on the side, so that makes it Georgean.
PS - just stumbled on this site tonight whilst looking for Ring Flashes.... amazing what Google brings back sometimes.
It's an excellent idea, think I'll be around for a while.... so long as you're all kind!

How you resisted the temptation to tweak the red of the post box I don't know(g) I would have myself...I can't resist emphasising the important, striking features of a shot. I'd have lifted the post box and the traffic light too, wouldn't have been able to resist it(g) Great shot...full marks and you landed the coveted EC too..well done
