Another HDR from this most famous of waterfalls on the road from Kirkby Malham to Settle.

I think this was with john's 15-30 @ 15mm. I did a HDR of 6 shots, though the sky didn't quite make the final cut - was just grey and the trees had blurred a little.

Lots of work to remove the water droplets that acculated after so many shots... dare not lean the lens for fear of moving the tripod.

It was very bright and colourful - too bright to look plausible really, though I've kept a copy that I'll shove in the MODS. I decided to put a duplicate layer on top and set it to blend mode "multiply" to darken it. then masked it and drew black at 8% opactity onto the bits I wanted brighter.

quite a bit of work really... think I still prefer the traditional shoot 1 or 2 RAW file approach, but that may change when I need to upgrade filters...

Camera:Canon EOS 5D
Lens:Sigma 15-30 EX
Recording media:400 RAW

Cheers folks

probably spent more time on this than I've done on any other shot this year - the HC made it worthwhile Smile

nice waterfall but its not what you'd call easy access to get this view point!

it would have been a sprint when I was 10.... put camera kit in your hands and 20 years on your life, it's tricky... god knows whatit'll be like when I'm 60!

Interesting to see a HDR treatment of this wonderful place, and even more interesting to see how effective it is.

It's not that hard to get to that viewpoint, don't be such a big girl's blouse. Wink
